Kawachi Fujien

It's Golden Week in Japan and the weather is gorgeous! The guys had a free Saturday, so we drove up to the Kawachi Fuji Gardens with our friends Brennan, Mariah, and their baby Patrick to see the wisteria in bloom. I am so glad we decided to go back this year! The wisteria wasn't quite as impressive when we went last year, so I'm glad we caught it again when there were more blossoms to see! David was excited to go because we talked it up so much last year while they were deployed.
The Hosacks
The smell was just heavenly (similar to sweet pea from bath and body works)!!! I love wisteria!
She wanted Minnie Mouse to smell the flowers
This is a special kind of wisteria but I forgot what it is called

The trellis area was massive! This is the view from above. I think they were going for a white heart.
Eisley loves Patrick!
Our tough dads ;)
They open the garden in the fall when the leaves change as well
Underneath the trellis area. It would be so fun to have something like this in your back yard!!!
I love the twisted old trunks
Last year vs this year....We've both grown a lot, haha.
Here's another last year vs this year comparison. The blooms were so much better!
Last year. There weren't nearly as many people...but the wisteria wasn't that impressive either.

This year we timed it almost perfectly!

Eisley and Patrick are starting to be such good friends! She wanted to lead him everywhere.
Eisley was trying to drag Patrick and Brennan everywhere
I think it is safe to say this is one of my favorite spots in Japan!
